Founder Gregory Clark is a fourth generation artisan with a lifetime passion for furniture, art, craft, and creative design. He has traveled the world creating objects including; furniture, shoes, medical devices, and a wide array of consumer products. From artisan studios in Egypt, to restoring relics utilizing ancient techniques in Venice, to working beside modern production facilities throughout the Far East, Mexico, and South America, his curiosity and passion for creating is insatiable. Mr. Clark received a degree in Industrial Design from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), studied engineering at Brown University, studied Architectural and Artifact Conservation in Italy, and apprenticed with master shoe producers and designers in Asia. While at RISD he participated in course work with notable artists/designers including Dale Chilhuly, master Industrial Designer Marc Harrison, and renowned furniture designers Tage Frid and John Dunnigan. In 1998 he started two companies; Gregory Clark Custom Studio to produce furnishings and architectural millwork in collaboration with Interior Designers and Architects, and Gregory Clark Collection where he showcases Limited Edition and one-of-a-kind furniture pieces of his own conception.
