Derick Gregory

Currently a student at Full Sail University, Derick will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Music Business in June of 2013. With experience working live events and radio through internship positions at Cox Media Group Orlando and Greenville College Radio, he plans to obtain a career in the live music industry through booking and/or concert promotion.

At the age of 15, Derick began work at his parents restaurant in his home town of Sullivan, IL. This experience helped develop his strong work ethic and instilled skills such as customer service, business management, teamwork and problem solving at a young age.

His interest in the music industry started in high school while playing in a local band. Regularly putting on hometown shows gave him experience in working with bands and venues and dealing with all the preparation and promotion of live events. Managing the band gave him experience in booking shows, buying merchandise, promoting and scheduling. It was this experience that revealed his passion for the business side of music.

After graduating high school, Derick attended Greenville College in Greenville, IL for two years studying Music Business, Mass Communication and Media Promotions. These life experiences prepared him to turn his entire life on its head and move to Florida to pursue a career in an industry he's passionate about.

After graduation, Derick plans to move to Nashville and begin work in the music industry. As a drummer, he understands the drive and passion that musicians have to make a living playing music. His ultimate goal is to keep music alive and well for both the artists and the fans.
