Gregory G. Geiger

Gregory G. Geiger is a queer artist living in Alameda, California; a lead type lover, comic-book fan, darkroom dweller, and devotee of the power of steam. A founding member of 1/5th As Good, with a BFA from SFAI, and an MFA from Mills College; exhibiting photography on both the east and west coasts, performing at the SFMOMA, as well as in many non-traditional formats around the country and internationally. Currently making photographic work that is leveraging how memory, modern pop-media, and visual perception mold our experience of beauty, where pictorialism has a place in our contemporary society, and the classic techniques of photography as physical craft.
