Gregory Co-Founded Varsity Sports Public Relations and immediately became immersed in a host of collegiate sport initiatives. Gregory focused on the strategic development of national athletic recruiting-activation campaigns on behalf of parents/student athletes connecting them to college athletic programs nationwide for scholarship opportunities. Gunnison with the help of his team has taken Varsity Sports Public Relations to nationwide recognition through the creation and implementation of numerous award-winning sports marketing programs.
In his first year as Chief Marketing Officer, Gregory made a commitment to a new vision that called for Varsity Sports Public Relations to be exclusively aligned with a select roster of college coaches nationwide. He made a bold statement within the collegiate sports industry when he redefined the agency’s client database from 5,400+ college coaches to a powerful portfolio of 3,600 college coaches. Gunnison’s business philosophy, which led to deeper, more meaningful relationships with college coaches resulted in significant growth.
His passion, forward-thinking and deep belief in the agency’s capabilities led strategic expansion across Maryland and nationwide. With its position strengthened in Maryland, Gregory established a reputable presence for Varsity Sports Public Relations.
