I began learning the guitar in 1965, and started my first band in 1967 called "The Young Ones", playing regularly on the channel 9 program "Everybody In" with Jim Illiffe. Started in first Rock band in 1973, playing regularly in the 1970's mostly on the Gold Coast, the highlight was probably doing support for "Bad Company" at Brisbane's Festival Hall in April 1975. Switched to bass in the late 70's, as bass players were very much a rare commodity then, and also due to the "Funk Era", bass become much more interesting.

During the 80's I played with a Brisbane Fusion Band, "Freestyle" which later morphed into "Miles Ahead", then spent a few years filling in with various bands.

Most recently have been playing with a couple of tribute bands, "Little Steely Brothers" since 2011, a 6 piece group playing the classic hits of Little River Band, Steely Dan, and Doobie Brothers and Eagles, and starting in January 2016, "The Australian Eagles Show", a 6 piece band paying tribute to the fabulous music of The Eagles, both of which I thoroughly enjoy. They are all very competent musicians, and a great bunch of blokes!
