I founded Resolutely Human, an independent product studio exploring human-centered technology.

Previously, I co-founded Smashing, an app for helping people read more intentionally in an increasingly noisy internet. I also co-founded Typekit, the web font service later acquired by Adobe, where I went on to serve as Head of Product for Typekit (now Adobe Fonts) and Type.

Earlier, I was the first employee at the analytics startup Measure Map (acquired by Google), and later worked at Google on Google Analytics and Gmail, focusing on design, prototyping, and front-end development. Before that, I led the front-end development team at early social media company Tickle, which was acquired by Monster.

I’ve also consulted with teams at Twitter, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, Mule Design Studio, and Adaptive Path.
