Gretchen Reuter is the Director of Operations at Leys, Christie & Co. in New York. She is also the Founder and President of Essential Potions, a holistic essential oils business that focuses on providing symptom-free healing for a variety of issues and maladies.
Gretchen graduated with a B.A. in Art History from Hartwick College. Afterwards, she later pursued graduated from Rittner's School of Floral Design. Both of these educational moves were fueled by Gretchen's desire to immerse herself in the natural beauty of the world. This is also the driving force behind her love of speciality pearls, too. Gretchen is passionate about engaging in the wonder and beauty of the world, both for the edification of herself and for those around her.
During her time at Hartwick, she wrote her senior thesis on the provocative French carnal artist, Saint ORLAN. Gretchen Reuter has never been afraid to explore the outside of areas of human expression, believing that "the comfortable" is no lasting conduit to true meaning.
Gretchen has also been active in athletics throughout her life as a swimmer, diver, soccer player, and platform tennis player. In 2017, she won the Platform Tennis Championship in the same town the sport was developed. She credits this accomplishment to her hard work and her opportunity to train under nationally ranked players such as Amy Shay.
