Gretchen Tegethoff

Gretchen Tegethoff has been a highly successful Healthcare IT Executive with an extensive background within the healthcare industry. Her experience expertise are made evident by her track record of success in various roles throughout her career spanning nearly two decades. With her experience working with for-profit multi-hospital systems, and as a strategic and forward-thinking professional, Ms. Tegethoff is seen as a valuable member of the executive team.

High level roles in which Gretchen Tegethoff has excelled include her tenure as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer with Athens Regional Health Systems in Athens, Georgia. Under Ms. Tegethoff’s leadership, Athens Regional, which happens to be one of the largest health systems in Northeast Georgia, saw the advancement of their IT systems and the growth of their IT division as a whole. Gretchen Tegethoff was also instrumental in creating and implementing plans for Athens Regional to participate in federal programs such as “Meaningful Use” and “ICD-10.” Because of her diverse set of skills and knowledge of the industry, Ms. Tegethoff was regarded as a business leader and key strategic advisor to the CEO with whom she had a direct reporting relationship.

Gretchen Tegethoff’s success at Athens Regional Health Systems was preceded by her time at The George Washington University Hospital. For six years, Ms. Tegethoff first served as Director of Information Services and was then quickly transitioned into the role of Chief Information Officer. In these roles, Ms. Tegethoff was responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of IT operations. This included all operations related to telecommunications, network/infrastructure, technical support, switchboard, applications physician IT services and information security.

Currently, Gretchen Tegethoff uses her deep knowledge of the healthcare IT industry as an independent consultant with the company she founded in 2014, TechExec Advisors, LLC based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia. As the President of TechExec Advisors, LLC., Ms. Tegethoff provides advisory and management services to organizations who seek her out for her extensive experience and exemplary on the job record.

Ms. Tegethoff’s academic record is also impressive. She received a Master’s Degree in Information Systems Technology from George Washington University School of Business. Prior to that, she earned an undergraduate degree in Medical Technology fro
