Steve La Rue

Steve La Rue's newspaper column, Notes from Groundhog Hill, appears weekly in The La Rue County Herald News and centers on Tales of A Summer Garden from a native son.

Zinnia, Sunflower, Cinnamon Basil, Dill, Jalapeno Pepper, Butternut Squash, Zucchini, Watermelon, Green Beans, Tomato, Giant Marigold, and lots of Johnson Grass grow there.

A graduate of La Rue County High School, Steve earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Journalism from SMU in Dallas and spent 20 years working in film and television in Los Angeles, most notably for 20th Century Fox, Paramount, and NBC Universal.

However, he got his start at The Herald News and WLCB Radio in Hodgenville.
