Grover Ellisor
The owner and founding President of GCE Petroleum Consulting LLC, of Victoria, Texas, Grover Ellisor has accrued over 30 years of experience in the Texas oil and petroleum business. Raised in Dallas, Texas, Grover Ellisor studied Industrial Distribution in the Dwight Look College of Engineering at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. While at Texas A&M, Grover Ellisor served as the President of his fraternity, Sigma Phi Epsilon, and enjoyed his pick of 14 job offers upon graduation. Grover Ellisor went to work as a Sales Engineer for Brown Oil Tools, Inc., in Houston, Texas, for two years before transitioning to the role of Operations Manager at Victoria’s Outline Oil Corporation. Grover Ellisor’s four years at Outline imbued him with the hard skills and experience in field supervising drilling, completion, and workover operations necessary to start his own company – GCE Petroleum Consulting LLC – in 1986. Since 1986, GCE Petroleum Consulting LLC has provided field supervising and project management services to small, medium, and large independent gas and oil companies. Grover Ellisor prides himself on assisting clients in cutting costs and expanding production, committed to maintaining the high standards he has put in place over the past 25 years in business. Grover Ellisor credits continuing education as one of the best tools to stay ahead of competitors; he completed several practical and management courses while at his first positions out of college and most recently completed courses as an MMS Certified Well Control Supervisor in surface and subsea drilling and well servicing. Grover Ellisor maintains professional affiliations with the Victoria Chapter of the American Petroleum Institute, the Texas Oilmen’s Golf Association, and the Society of Petroleum Engineers. In his spare time, Grover Ellisor enjoys the symphony, in particular the local Victoria Symphony, where he has been an acting board member since 2005, as well as golf, fly fishing, and tennis.
