Dr. Gyan Parida is currently an Adj. Professor at Pepperdine University where he teaches the MBA Venture Finance class, He is the Chairman of Global Ventures Congress and Managing Partner SAEC Venture Advisors. He is also a Task Force Member of Sustainable Transport Ecosystem at World Economic Forum. He has over 18 years of experience including twelve years in VC/PE and start-ups in Technology, Web2, Social Media, Biotech, Life Sciences, Medical Devices, Healthcare, Alt-energy, and Clean-tech space. Dr. Parida has evaluated more than 1500 business plans and presented many companies to investors that lead to more than $200M in funding. He has advised start-up companies in all aspects of business development and funding issues. Dr. Parida is an educator, speaker and moderator for entrepreneur/investor conferences. He has advised international government agencies to attract and access US private equity funds. Dr. Parida discovered the first multiple cyclic Voltammogram in electrochemical system and published peer-reviewed papers in international journals, and member of reputable associations. He has worked on various scientific research projects in fuel cells, batteries, environment pollution, pollution protection on oil spills, liquid propellant for rocket launchers, non-linear dynamics, chaos theory, corrosion protection, implant development for prostate cancer, biochemistry and biomedical engineering. Dr.Parida was one of the key IT executives of the team that developed the $150M trade management system at NYMEX. Dr.Parida was 1 of 3 US National Finalist for the 2002 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Winner Kauffman National Supporter of Entrepreneurship Award.
