Garth Shaughnessy

At 23, I am a first-generation college student. When I began college at UGA, I had no real clue about what I wanted to do. I wanted to work with people. I knew I loved retail. And I eventually found out that I loved teaching and helping people in different aspects.

That led me to start my major focus in Fashion Merchandising. I am looking at a December 2015 graduation and am currently looking for a job in retail until I can get certified to teach early-childhood ed. I eventually want to teach the second grade.

But at the moment, I'm rolling with the punches and making my story one that I will be proud of.
