Hi! My name is Gerry Sklenicka and I love to cook! I started the "Off the Box" Cooking blog in December 2012 with encouragement from my family. With a bit of inspiration from the recipes provided on the back of pre-packaged food items I re-create a recipe and make it my own "Off the Box" meal. However, the preparation must be easy and use "common" ingredients. Really, nothing fancy here.
I aim to provide my readers easy, buget-conscious, delicious recipes, pairing fresh ingredients with ingredients found in a box, can or bag.
In addition, to the "Off the Box" inspirations, I will share many of my other great finds and memorable meals.
