Generally, any company in India, irrespective of whether it is dealing with products or services or both, has to be licensed under GST registration online if it has a turnover above the threshold limit as specified in the new GST regime. But there are several exceptions to this general rule, where such companies are forced to register under online GST registration regardless of their turnover. When the company, without registration under GST registration, carries on the operation, it will be an offense under GST registration and severe penalties will apply.
