As Senior Director of Facilities and Sustainability, I manage the core operations and sustainability functions at NRDC. I spearheaded the initial creation of our internal operations sustainability policy and continue to evolve our strategies to meet the "triple bottom line" (people, planet, profit/savings) across our offices worldwide (Beijing, San Francisco, Bozeman, Santa Monica, Washington DC and New York). I monitor regulatory developments and advise senior leaders on changes affecting our operations. I specialize in integrating strategic sustainability practices into daily operations. Since joining the Institution in mid-2008, I've focused on expanding the effectiveness of the Ops team by partnering with internal experts to provide strategic solutions while containing costs. My success in part is due to my ability to secure and leverae senior level commitment and support for integrating sustainability management into our core practices. Prior to joining NRDC, I led Operations for Oprah Winfrey and Gerry Laybourne from Oxygen Media's infancy until its sale to NBCU in 2007. I started my Operations career with Barry Diller's InterActiveCorp (IAC) in 1998. In addition to a strong passion for saving the planet, I have a tremendous commitment to diversifying the sustainability management profession as demonstrated by my recruiting efforts at NRDC, Oxygen and IAC and through my community outreach.
