Gugulethu is an entrepreneur passionate about solving some of Africa’s problems using entrepreneurship as a tool.

As a serial entrepreneur, in 2014 she co-founded a trolley management solutions startup that at her exit in 2017 had 53 employees, counted retail giants such as Shoprite Checkers, Woolworths, Food Lovers Market, Metro to name a few.

In 2018, she founded Thumeza, a next-generation logistics platform, as a solution for enterprises with delivery needs to get access to the right logistics operators for their needs.

Currently, Thumeza has two products namely Thumeza Last Mile a last-mile solution for businesses looking to move goods up to 500kgs to their end consumers and Intransit, a sympathetic logistics platform built for FMCG enterprises looking for coordinate the movement of their loads and the availability of transporters whilst saving costs.

Her vision for Thumeza is to provide the underlying data that powers every logistical decision made by s in every African economy.

As a revenue funded entity, Thumeza has successfully facilitated deliveries for businesses across all strata’s from exciting startups such as Fresh in a Box to established corporates such as TM Pick’n’Pay.

Gugulethu is a 2018 Alumni of the Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Programme, a 2019 Provincial Winner of the 2019 Youth ConnektProgramme, a 2020 Alumni of the Academy of Women Entrepreneurs, a part of the 2020 Google for Startups Accelerator Africa class and a 2020 JCI Zimbabwe Top Ten Outstanding Young Person
