Mogi das Cruzes - SP - Brazil

I've earned my bachelor's degree in Agronomic Engineering at University of São Paulo (ESALQ/USP-2006). I hold my M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Genetics and Plant Breeding from University of São Paulo (2009 and 2013). I have 10 years of experience in agricultural research and experimentation, working with Quantitative Genetics and Soybean Breeding, especially on planning, placing and evaluating field trials, leading field teams, data collection, processing and statistical analysis. Additionally, I had internships experiences on tissue culture (pineapple) and tobacco breeding in a private company (Tobacco Breeding Center of BAT/Souza Cruz S.A). I also participated in the organization of events (symposium and workshop) and delivered several lectures on Plant Breeding for undergraduates at ESALQ. I have worked as carrot assistant breeder at Nunhems, one of the world's leading suppliers of vegetable seeds (part of Bayer CropScience). Currently, I work as a Federal Agricultural Inspector of the Ministry of Agriculture of Brazil, acting in the International Plant Inspection Service (VIGIAGRO) from São Paulo International Airport, to ensure the safety of Brazilian crops against possible contamination of plants or pesticides coming from other countries.
