Guillaume Lopez

Student in a MA journalism at the London College of Communication. Section editor of MM2.014 a website about the local election in Marseille.

Passionate by sports and the world around me, my only and obsessional dream , become a journalist in London. A dream who can now come true as I joined IEJ London this year.

I always had that passion for writing but my will to speak english and to go to London made my path a winding one. After a licence of english litterature and civilisation I finally joined IEJ Marseille where I gratuated last year. In this formation I realized what I was born for. Journalism has appear to me like an evidence and I can't get enough of it. I'm specially interested in web journalism because a lots of oppurtiny with this tools is given to us but I can embrassed all kind.

During my studies, I had English press courses for wich I had wrotte stories. My biggest one, was a report about Arthurian Legend in our culture.

I also created a website on e-sport for my final project assignement.

I worked for many redactions since I started my studies in journalism. Specially at La Provence, a local newspaper. I first started with a 3 months intership. Then I worked as a freelance journalist, I was covering sport for a year. I also worked on the website for three months. My experience on the web taught me a lot on digital journalism and I realized then that it was what wanted to do next.

So I worked for another local newspaper, "La Marseillaise", also on the web because I wanted to learn as much as I could before moving to London and starting my Master in web journalism.
