Gülfer is a Political Science graduate. She has a strong intelligent background on Turkish political history and best sustained on Ottoman history and modernization process. During undergraduate years she attended seminars in institutions like European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR), Department for International Development (DFID), MSF UK and Commonwealth Secretariat (UK). In 2011, she attended summer school programme at King's College London University over "Managing International Conflicts: security & institutions" and "International Relations Theories" courses during her undergraduate. Subsequently she worked for Turkey Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of Center for Strategic Research (CFSR) where she gained the tacts of diplomacy profession by prestigious ambassadors. In May 2013, she visited institutions like European Commission in Brussels, Fédération des Entrepreneurs Franco-Turcs (FEDIF) and Nationale Assemble in France for diverse activities. In 2015 June, she attended public lectures at London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) given by remarkable tutor in the IR studiies, Prof. Joseph Nye. Beside academia, she enjoys to work as a volunteer for charity jobs. Her interests are security, radicalisation, terrorism, counter-terrorism and gender.
