Gustavo Mantovan

Born and raised in the beautiful and sunny Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, I have been living in Miami, US for the last 8 years. I have also had the privilege to live in Amsterdam, Netherlands for one year.

I am currently a Systems Engineer at VMware where I have the privilege to talk with my customers about Software Defined Networking and how VMware with NSX can help them automate their Data Center, secure their apps and make Disaster Recovery easy. NSX is a revolutionary product that completely changes how companies deploy and manage networks. It is completely software-driven meaning it abstracts software from hardware making really easy to consume and scale. I believe build and maintain good relationships and always being creative is paramount to be an effective Sales Engineer. I am always looking new ways to get my job done; it keeps you off your comfort zone and it feels more rewarding when you achieve your goals. Lastly, I am a big believer that software is the future.

I am very self-motivated, and always willing to learn. I am a big enthusiast of new technologies such as Big Data, Software Defined Data Center, Internet of Things, Containers, Micro-Services, etc... I am thrilled on how these new technologies will shape the future of our society. I speak english, Portuguese and Spanish fluently.

Travel and sports are my passion. For me, there is nothing like a sunny day and playing sports outside.
