Gumbo Tamang

Namaste ! I am Gumbo Tamang originality from Nepal . Since 2007 I live in UK. As many many years ago my great grandfather was originally from Tibet and belongs to the ethnic group Sherpa also (mangolian) my name is as well Gumbo Chhiring Sherpa (TAMANG). However my passport shows my officially surname Tamang. I was born and grown up in Thulo Bharku, Rasuwa .Langtang National park (region of Langtang), a village in Tamang people’s living area. All people who belong to this ethnic group have the surname Tamang.

In the age of 15 years I started to lead trekking tourists through the narrow trails of Langtang and Gosaikunda holly lake. There time the amount of trekking travelers was not comparable with today. After Nepal’s opening in 1955 only a few people traveled in this unknown country.
