SHARON GUMHOLD

Welcome to the section where you can read a little about me. I have been teaching for 17 years. Prior to coming to Whitehall, I taught for eight years in the Allentown School District, first at Harrison-Morton Middle School and later at Allen High School. This will be my ninth year teaching math at Whitehall-Coplay Middle School. I grew up in Slatington and graduated from Northern Lehigh High School. While in high school, I used my love for math and served as a statistician and manager for the boys basketball team. After graduation, I attended Kutztown University where I majored in mathematics education. I received my Bachelor of Arts from Kutztown University in Mathematics Education and later went on to receive my Master's degree from Wilkes University in Classroom Technology.

I'm married to Mr. Gumhold, who was a Whitehall High School graduate, who went on to play professional football for the New York Giants. We reside in Schnecksville, PA and have a son who lives in North Carolina with his wife and our granddaughter. The "boys" in the photos, our two shih tzus, are Spanky and Bruin. In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, reading and quilting.
