My name is Gunnar Consol and I was raised in central Florida. I currently live in Plymouth, New Hampshire so that I can attend Plymouth State University and study Meteorology. Besides meteorology, some of my other academic interests are biology, geography, history, and literature.

I'm not all academics though, I enjoy participating in athletics, and I was on the Varsity Cross-Country, Soccer, and Track & Field Team all four years of high school.

Growing up in Florida, my hobbies are indicative of my surroundings. I enjoy going kayaking, swimming in my pool or at the beach, playing sports, sunbathing, and gardening. Some of favorite things to grow are watermelons, tomatoes, jalapeños, and squash.

One of my favorite pastimes is one of the reasons I decided to become a meteorologist, and that was to go storm-chasing. Whenever we received a hurricane, severe weather, or any significant weather event I would go out in search to experience the worst of mother nature (in the safest ways possible).

I not only enjoy talking about the weather but I also like sharing what it looks like through my various platforms. That's why I want to be specifically a broadcast meteorologist.
