I am a beginner in the discipline, to be clear, and there are a significant number of shooters who know a lot more than I do. Therefore, with absolute sincerity, I apologize for the audacity to write about this beautiful discipline in which I am, and feel, an absolute novice gunslinger arms.

Honestly, the discipline aroused a huge curiosity in me because the challenge was completely different from the one I had faced all my life. A sight with parallax regulation to establish the distance from the target, determine where the point of impact was on the firing parabola, determine the drift that the action of the wind would produce on the flight of the pellet, establish the possible variation due to changes of light and, also, make the best shot technically speaking. All these variables, among a few more, are a great challenge to get a good shot. Nothing simple due to the ballistics characteristics of air / compressed gas weapons .

All my life I shot from a defined position, at a specific target, at a distance that was always the same and with ballistics that required minimal adjustments depending on the wind. All this repeatedly with the greatest possible precision. This perfection in repetition makes one to be trained as a shooter with excellent technical resources and with a good field reading in relation to the wind. However, the challenges of this new discipline make the situation much more complex. This difficulty is established by the need to master perfectly all the variables that make the precision of a shot that is conditioned by multiple field factors such as distance, temperature, target size, ballistics, luminosity, wind, etc. All these challenges strongly motivated me to get to know the discipline.
