Gunther Maier

I started taking pictures in Germany when I was just a child. Growing up didn’t change much, but trading in my Kodak Instamatic camera along the way might have helped.

I’m sure a three-year photography apprenticeship, a bachelor degree in marketing communication and design from Fachhochschule Stuttgart, a career as an ACD in large and small NYC agencies and my role as an advertising agency co-founder didn’t hurt much, either.

My work for clients like Mercedes-Benz, IBM, Dow Jones Global Indexes, Hitachi, Sandoz, Jägermeister and the 76ers Basketball Club enabled me to work and learn with an amazing roster of talent over the years.
