Puneet Gupta
Mr. Gupta has close to two decades of experience in strategy consulting, M&A, and investment advisory. He is currently the managing director of Kentrus Investment Advisors based out of North America & India. Over the last few years after relocating to India, he has been working closely with various institutional investors and mid-market ventures. He is an active investor, advisor, and board member in few organizations with a primary focus on supporting management with strategic growth, human/financial capital, and corporate governance. He has advised various pooled investment vehicles, private equity/ venture capital funds, conglomerates, and family offices on their Indian and global investment strategy.
Prior to Kentrus, Mr. Gupta headed Corporate Development at ACL Services in Vancouver (Canada) responsible for strategic planning, M&A, & fundraising. Prior to ACL Services, he held a leadership role at Crystal Decisions/Business Objects (now SAP AG), one of the largest business intelligence companies in the world. He worked in Palo Alto, Paris, London, and Vancouver. During his tenure, Business Objects successfully acquired Crystal Decisions for $1.2 billion. Subsequently, Business Objects was acquired by SAP for Euros 4.8 billion. Prior to Business Objects, Mr. Gupta served as a consultant with Ernst & Young in Chicago providing strategic and transaction advisory services.
Mr. Gupta has been educated and lived in India, North America (US & Canada), and the Middle-East. He has a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a master’s degree in business from Northwestern University (Kellogg Graduate School of Management). He is a TIE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) charter member who actively mentors entrepreneurs, delivers lectures on Private Equity & Venture Capital at leading academic institutions, and speaks at various family office and private equity conferences.
