Gurdal Ertek

Dr. Gürdal Ertek is an Associate Professor of Management at Abu Dhabi University (ADU) College of Business. Before joining ADU, Dr. Ertek served for 12 years at Sabancı University, Istanbul, Turkey, and other institutions in Singapore, Kuwait, and United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Dr. Gürdal Ertek received his B.S. from Industrial Engineering Department of Boğaziçi University, Istanbul, Turkey, in 1994, and his Ph.D. from School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, in 2001. His research areas include supply chain management, data mining, and applications of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research.

Dr. Ertek has been awarded with Boğaziçi University Alumni Scholarship, Hacı Ömer Sabancı Scholarship, and Fulbright Scholarship.

Dr. Ertek has taught more than 1500 students in lecture-styled courses and has supervised more than 500 students in project courses, such as PROJ 102 (Project Course) and ENS 491 (Senior Project). He has also served as a reviewer for more than 50 R&D projects submitted to TÜBİTAK (Turkish National Science Foundation).
