Imperial Irrigation District: Local Entity Coordinator

• 4.4 million dollars awarded to 38 local agricultural based businesses in grants injected into our local economy
• 2.2 million dollars awarded to 9 local businesses in grants resulting in:
• $774,790 in additional local cash & In-kind match
• 147 jobs created with an additional 21 jobs retained
• 7,958 community residents served
• 55 individuals provided specialized vocational training
• 89 businesses started or expanded
• 25 business loans awarded
• 212 community youth provided with job skill development

Imperial Valley Small Business Development Center Director

• 6.1 million dollars in cash infusion to small businesses
• 23 small businesses created
• 150 jobs created & 49 jobs retained
• 1,029 business counseling hours provided
• 64 business related workshops provided to a total of 562 attendees

Organized the 2010 Governor's Conference on small business in collaboration with:

• Governor’s Office of Economic Development
• Association of Small Business Development Centers
• San Diego & Imperial Counties SBDC Network
