Gustavo R. Medina
Born in Brooklyn to Puerto Rican and El Salvadorian parents and raised in Queens, Gustavo knew that he wanted a career in audio and technology at an early age. At age 8, he started playing the piano and developed a love for music. While everyone else was playing Pokemon in the 5th grade, Gustavo’s hobbies included taking apart and putting back together computers, cell phones and various other electronic devices, attaining knowledge of their anatomy before the curriculum required it at his age. In high school, he fortified and expanded his knowledge by “DJing”, producing instrumentals and even worked as a live sound audio engineer when his high school produced renditions of the Broadway plays Pippen and Aida. After attending the Institute of Audio Research in New York City and earning a degree in Audio Recording and Production, Gustavo worked as an Audio/Video Technician at the USA Headquarters of Sony and as a live sound engineer for various concerts and productions. At age 20, he founded his own electronics storage facility in his native Queens, where he took a $2500 start-up investment and turned it into a $46,000 profit in the first year of business. He is now Director of Sales for 20/20 Audio Visual Inc. where not only does he have the privilege of introducing new clients to the unparalleled service quality that 20/20 provides but also personally installs and integrates equipment in offices and homes in the greater New York City area and beyond.
