I'm a Muslimah living with an ileostomy. Diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in 2010, lost half of my guts to surgery in 2013. Still fighting. Still smiling. Still freakin awesome. I should also mention that I'm a teacher, speaker, reader (I have a slight addiction) and the blog is an attempt to help others understand what I go through.
