Guy 'Yug' Blomberg

My name is Guy Blomberg, although I also tend to regularly go by the nickname YUG.

I've worked as a professional graphic designer for over a decade with a wide variety of companies and clients, designing every kind of website imaginable - from adult to corporate, nightclubs to restaurants, musicians, government, festivals, and more.

I have a lifelong love for video games, evidenced in my many entrepreneurial projects. Within the gaming industry I've done journalism, development, publishing, marketing, PR, and sales, and spoken at numerous events such as GCAP, Game On, SupaNova, eGames, DEVELOP and for the IGDA.

I'm the founder of one of the oldest independent gaming websites AustralianGamer.com (now merged into the Gameplanet network), and am the creator of the world's first videogame cocktail bars - The Mana Bar - based in Brisbane and Melbourne, Australia.

I passionately work to promote and bring together the different sectors of the videogame industry, while still entertaining and informing through my various outlets, and encouraging and supporting other start-up companies.
