Guy Kemp

An influential radio personality, Guy Kemp hosted a wide range of popular radio programs during the course of his 25-year career. He is particularly well known for his work in the genre of shock radio and is often remembered as the evil twin of Howard Stern. However, Mr. Kemp also influenced radio through his use of record-setting hybrid formats during the early 1990s. In his more recent career, Guy Kemp hosted Computer Daze, a popular technology show on Talk American Radio Network. The show nightly hosted guests and covered an array of topics regarding the Internet, computers, and new technologies.

Supplementing his work in radio, Guy Kemp found success acting in films and doing voiceovers. His work in the movies includes films such as The Jazz Singer, Honkey Tonk Freeways, and The Addams Family. Mr. Kemp is also a writer and has published a book entitled Model Dad, which follows his daughter through her adventures in the fashion industry. Over the course of his career in the media and entertainment, he appeared as a guest on television programs such as Larry King Live, Wally George, 20/20, The Tonight Show, and Nightline.

Guy Kemp diligently supports a number of important charitable causes. Guy Kemp has also volunteered for muscular dystrophy research, provided assistance at local food pantries, and helped to raise considerable funds for St. Jude Children's Hospital. A strong advocate for AIDS research, he was the first radio host in the shock radio genre to bring public awareness to efforts in that regard.
