Gwendolen Johnston

Gwendolen Johnston competed in and won pageants after graduating from college. She credits those years for her success in her career as an entrepreneur. Through competition, Gwendolen learned the value of tenacity and resilience. She developed and sharpened her presenting skills, which she has often utilized during public speaking, business presentations, and individualized instruction. Having professional coaching assisted her in developing confidence in both her on-stage presence and inner mentality.

Contrary to popular belief, another skill learned via pageantry is event planning, being commonplace to organize fundraisers and encourage community involvement in projects. When she transitioned out of pageantry, she co-founded a car dealership on Charleston's famed auto-mile. Gwendolen took great satisfaction in becoming the area's first female automobile dealer.
