Gwynæ Kelley-Franklin

Gwynæ is the Data Manager for A.T. Still Research Institute in Kirksville, MO, where she works as a data scientist evaluating methods for delivering scientific content to the general public and creating partnerships for diverse viewpoints in the scientific community to ensure equitable access to data.

Gwynæ is a PhD Student at the University of Central Arkansas studying Change Leadership for Equity and Inclusion with a focus on Digital-Age Curriculum and Instruction. She has a Master of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Western Governors University, and an Associate of Applied Science in Emergency Management from Frederick Community College.

Gwynæ is one of the principal investigators for the Tindómë Observatory, a volunteer-run laboratory advocating everyone's access to the stars. She is a member of Astronomers Without Borders, a global community advocating for and sharing the universe's wonders. Gwynæ is a founding member of The Mars Generation, a space exploration and education advocacy charity, and the Planetary Society, which encourages advancing space science and exploration.

She has received recognition for her extensive volunteer service from the American Red Cross, the Community Emergency Response Team, the Georgia Governor, and the President of the United States. She has served on multiple community boards and as leadership for local emergency response teams.

Gwynæ is a member of the American Association for Access, Equity, and Diversity, the American Association of University Professors, the American Civil Liberties Union, the American Federation of Teachers, the Association for Computing Machinery, the Council on Women in Computing (ACM-W), the Human Rights Campaign, the HTML Writers Guild, the International Leadership Association, the International Web Association, Kappa Delta Pi, the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education, and the Society for Human Resouce Management.

Gwynæ is a tabletop and online gamer who plays mostly RPGs and MMOs, like Dungeons & Dragons, Coyote & Crow, and Final Fantasy XIV. She also enjoys board games like Castle Panic, Wingspan, and Wolves. However, she spends the majority of her free time reading.
