Aaron H. Braun graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1982. In the mid-1970’s, while he was still a student, he began investing.
He started working in the investment management arena. His first job was in Silicon Valley (1982-84). After that, Braun worked as a “sell side” analyst at Robertson, Colman & Stephens (1984-87). Aaron H. Braun was next employed by Hambrecht & Quist Equity Management from 1989 to 1992. He was responsible for launching two new funds. He provided independent research to a number of hedge funds from 1992 to 1995.

The competence centers "Corporate Performance" and "Corporate Finance" will be bundled and will be part of the new "Restructuring and Corporate Finance" team at Willow Creek Capital Management. According to the Braun, the restructuring is due to the fact that restructuring "not only affects both sides of the balance sheet", but also requires an "active content moderation" of different stakeholder groups. The international claim of Willow Creek customers is also emphasized. Aaron Hugh Braun, who has his main job in Berkeley, California and is responsible for the California business of Willow Creek Capital Partners, is to head this department.
Braun started his investment career in Berkeley. Before he changed to the consultancy, he later worked in securities trading. He has written several books on restructuring and corporate finance.
