The Flower Shop: Caldron of Conspiracy is the story of a complex Communist Cold war plot involving sabotage, murder, high finance, and revolution. Harry Banister, an out-of-work American newspaperman, goes to Mexico in 1952, looking for a good time. He just wants to see the sights, play a little golf, go fishing, and hit the beach in Acapulco. Unfortunately, his plans change in a hurry his first night in Mexico City, when he stumbles over a body in the men's room of a restaurant. From then on, he and his dinner companion, a beautiful blonde, blue-eyed Mexican girl named Rosa, are forced to fight for their lives.

Harry's not ready to go back to work, but within days of arriving in Mexico he has three job offers, including an offer from Rosa's boss at the Florería Roma. When Harry visits the back room at the flower shop he discovers that the Communist conspiracies brewing there go well beyond the takeover of Pemex and the Mexican government.

Harry eventually makes it to the beach in Acapulco, but it's not as much fun as he hoped it would be.
