Hiromi Ishizaki
TOKYO
I have received master's degree in Science & Engineering from Waseda University, Japan in 2006. I am currently a research engineer in Intelligent Media Processing Laboratory, KDDI R&D Laboratories, Inc.
I was grown up in the city of Yamagata, in the north of Japan, with my parents and 2 sisters and 2 brothers. I moved to Tokyo in 2000 when I started my university education in computer science at Waseda University. When I was master student in the university, I could have opportunity of internship in KDDI R&D Laboratories, Inc. I made my master’s thesis at the laboratories, after graduation, I started my career as researcher in this laboratories.
From 2011 to 2012, I was visiting scholar at School of Library and Information Science, Indiana University. I studied computer-mediated discourse analysis from Prof. Susan C. Herring. Currently I am back to KDDI R&D Labs again.
My research interests are music information analysis and retrieval, visualization, and social tag analysis and mining. Currently I'm interested in mobile application utilized social media, computer mediated communication, media's effect to human behavior on online and offline.
