Emily Haeger
Recreation Supervisor, Chicago White Sox Mazda Pride Crew, and Chicago Bears Monster Squad in Chicago, Illinois
My name is Emily Haeger and I am graduate of the University of Wisconsin- Whitewater. I currently work full time as a recreation supervisor. I also have the amazing opportunity of working for the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Bears part time. My end goal is to work with a sports organization creating opportunities for fans and the city in which the team serves.
During my four years as an NCAA athlete, I learned that sports can have a huge impact on a surrounding community and I wish to continue that impact during my everyday life.
A quote that holds true to how I feel about sports is from a speech in 2006 given by Nelson Mandela and it goes, "Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. It has the power to unite people in a way that little else does. Sport can awaken hope where there was previously despair."
