I've been intrigued by nature when I was 18, as a result of taking 'Biodiversity' subject in Matriculation Programme. Eventually, I pursued my interests with an Environmental Science degree at National University of Malaysia (UKM).

During my 2nd year in UKM, I had to take Aquatic Ecology subject, which gave me an interest in aquatic and stream ecology.

I spent my senior year working on a final year project studying the diversity of benthic macroinvertebrates within pristine area of Sungai Ikan, Hulu Terengganu, Terengganu. I have known ever since I conducted that research I wanted to work among the water and its creatures for the rest of my life (?).

For now, I pursue my Master's Degree by research in UKM. My current research studies the diversity of chironomidae within selected highland streams, focusing on its larvae taxonomy and environmental influence.

In particular, my interests lies in the area of biomonitoring, aquatic bioindicator and aquatic ecology. With my on going research, my next goal is to make a career out of this fascination by pursuing a PhD in the field of aquatic ecology.

:)

Enough with my research interests, moving on to my life interests. I'm a picky eater and I fancy spicy food the most :) I enjoy outdoor activities, rather than wandering around the mall. I would love to see the other side of the world someday. Travelling is a part of education, so why not? :)

Above all, I'm just a slave of Allah.
