I have recently created AKOON, a new start-up company, selling up-market women’s apparel and accessories via online boutiques. A personal interest and aim of mine that can be realized within the Saudi economic system, is to facilitate the transition of women into the world of work. Cultural expectations often make it difficult for women to become involved in certain activities and professions, but with encouragement and given the right opportunities they can find the confidence and skills to become successful.
