Splicing the water with the edge of my fingertips, along my straightened legs, and down to my pointed toes, I silently minimize the splash behind me after the start. A clean entry, setting me up for the pullout, is the key to getting a massive head start. Swimming to me means everything, and the rush of adrenaline coursing through your body on the starting block makes you feel a certain type of way. From the age of 5 I always had a strong tension towards the water. Almost as a son of Poseidon, I felt that the water calmed my senses and took away all mental and physical pain. I have swam for club teams for 10 years, and now my journey into college swimming has begun. I committed to the University of Georgia in October of 2019, and now I am ready to work my heart out and perform to my best. Preparing from day one, I will become the best breaststroker that I can be, and I will not let my team down. With world-class teammates by my side, these next four years of swimming will show my dedication, respect, and work ethic not only in the pool but in every aspect.
