Hello!

My name is Hajer Nakua and I’m a neuroscientist and PhD Candidate at the University of Toronto and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. I am a 2020/2021 Fulbright Scholar pursuing a research exchange at Stanford University.

My research uses brain imaging tools, such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), to better understand the relationship between brain activation patterns and behaviour in children with mental health conditions. I’m also a science communicator and passionate about making science accessible and inclusive for all. My goal is to contribute to the field of neuroscience in a meaningful way while ensuring that science is accessible to everyone. If you click "View my portfolio", you will be taken to my instagram account which is the platform I share neuroscience and mental health research in both English and Arabic.
