Alexander Halavais
I like creating things. It's not good enough that something works, I want to change it: make it work faster, better, more beautifully and more effectively.
I teach social media in the interdisciplinary School of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Arizona State University, and I am involved in several research groups that are engaged in figuring out how to enable learning outside the classroom as well as in it. I've taught at a few other universities and have published two books and a few dozen articles and book chapters.
Right now, I am working on several projects that look at learning, motivation, and metrics, and how these all fit together in a networked world.
