Hal Crabb III

The son of a World War II fighter pilot who served valiantly in the Pacific and crash-landed on the deck of the U.S.S. Yorktown in one of the conflict’s most famous newsreel footages, Hal Crabb III has brought that same dedication and tenacity to his 30-year tenure in the oil industry. He began his career as a Production, Area, and Reservoir Engineer for Texaco, Inc., in Midland, Texas, before joining BHP Billiton in Midland as a Production/Reservoir Engineer. After serving as Operations Manager for McClellan Oil Corporation in Roswell, New Mexico, Hal Crabb III accepted a position as Project Production Engineer at EOG Resources, Inc., in Midland.

At EOG Resources for 18 years, Hal Crabb III earned promotions to Production Engineering Specialist and Production Engineering Advisor. During this period, he also worked for the company in other parts of Texas and spent a year in China, securing a concession for EOG from the Chinese National Petroleum Company. Stateside, Hal Crabb III coordinated the lucrative Workover Program for EOG and mentored young engineers and interns.

Most recently, in 2011, Hal Crabb III accepted a position as Senior Production Engineer at Americo Energy Resources, LLC, where he holds responsibility for production, operations, reservoir, and other areas of concern in New Mexico and West Texas properties. In this capacity, he initiates and supervises a number of successful projects, opening additional sands, improving the chemical program, and implementing a cleanout program for injection wells. Primarily, Hal Crabb III oversees the East Shugart Unit in Eddy County, New Mexico, and the revival of the Old Yates and Queen sands Waterflood.

Extremely active outside of his professional duties, Hal Crabb III has ridden thousands of miles as a member of the Midland, Texas, Bicycle Club, including completing 150 miles for the MS Bike Tour 4 times to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. A fan of muscle cars, Hal Crabb III races at a Houston track and elsewhere utilizes his skills as a marksman, shooting pistols, rifles, and shotguns.
