Haleigh Rempel

Hey There!

My name is Haleigh Rempel. I am currently attending the University of Regina, and I am in my fourth year in the Faculty of Education. I finished my my internship in the fall, and I was really great for the wonderful experience; I did my placement in my home town of Swift Current. I am greatful for the amazing experience that I had and everything that I was able to take with me and apply to my own teaching.

I believe I always knew I was going to be a teacher; there were a few other professions that I looked into, but I always came back to teaching. I love the feeling when you see the light go on in someones eyes when they finally get something, or making kids believe in themselves as much as you believe in them.

When I am finished my degree and have gained my teaching certificate, I wish to move home. The community that I grew up in was not always easy, but taught me many lesson, and it was always my plan to go back. Also it is where my family is, and I wish to be closer to them; family is the most important thing to me. My family is one of the main things that have made me who I am. However, I would be greatful for any opportunity

I love travelling; if there was one passion that would top teaching, it would be travelling. I have been to France, Italy, Greece, and Mexico; each of these experiences have made me love travel even more, and makes me wish I could go on some kind of trip every year. However, when I am finished school, I plan to go on a trip, I am hoping to Fiji and surrounding area.

That is one thing that I hope I am able to instill in my students, is the drive to reach for their dreams and help them unlock their potential.
