Haley Skaggs

Hello, I’m Haley. I’m a Senior at Morehead State University where I'm studying English Education and French. In my spare time, I love to write, read, and knit. I am obsessed with movies from the Golden Age of Hollywood and have a firm belief that I have an old soul. I have traveled around the United States and to my ancestral homeland of Ireland which has instilled in me a constant desire to travel, despite my fear of flying. I am currently working on a novel and am gathering research for another. It is my dream someday to be a published author and I know that my Professional Writing class can help me develop better writing skills that can contribute to that possibility. At the moment, I am studying to be a high school English teacher. I chose this career path because I want to make a difference in young peoples' lives. I hope to be able to provide them with information about different career paths they can take to help them figure out what they want to pursue. This is so important to me because it is what I struggled with the most in my transition from high school to college.
