StrengthsQuest Reflection

My top two strengths from my StrengthsQuest quiz were developer and empathy. I have chosen to discuss these two strengths because I think they will play key roles in my future profession. To me, being a developer means that I see potential in others and I know how to pull from others strengths. Empathy, to me, means that I hurt when others hurt, and I feel joy when others are happy. Together, these two strengths help me connect to others in ways that others may not be able to. Connecting with people will be very important in my future profession.

Curriculum Plan Activities

One of the most helpful assignments for me that we did in Survey this semester was running the degree audit because it has really allowed me to plan out what I need to do over the next four years here at The Ohio State University. The degree audit as well as the other curriculum planning activities we did opened my eyes to the large variety of classes that are open to me to take as well as opening my eyes to the classes I need to take in order to earn my degree. It was very helpful in planning and I learned a lot about the degree I am working towards.

Lessons From a First-Year Buckeye

The Lessons From a First-Year Buckeye assignment was really fun for me because it helped me reflect on my first semester here at The Ohio State University and really take a look at what I have learned in my first year. My five lessons were:

1. People here at Ohio State are awesome

2. Being involved is good

3. School and social activities need to be well balanced

4. Hard work pays off

5. Be open to learning from your mistakes
