Hali

Hali

A solid presence in the House and Techno scenes of the late-eighties, Toronto-based Hali put his passion to work in the nineties, collaborating with the largest concert promoters in Canada on events including Lollapalooza. A recording contract with Silent Records in 1995 resulted in his tracks making number one on College Radio Dance charts, and in 1998 he received the highly regarded Editor's Pick in Future Music for his music production. In 1999, Hali founded the award-winning Netmusique Internet radio station, which reaches more than a million listeners each month.

An infectious blend of Deep House, Minimal Techno and Tech House, Hali’s sets have been broadcast on stations including CIUT 89.5 FM and HERBSTRADIO 99.1 FM Berlin; as part of internationally televised performances on CBC and MuchMusic; and at events around the globe including the Grammy Awards and Kho Pha Ngan’s Full Moon Festival.

Hali is based in Toronto, where he is considered a visionary member of the underground dance-music scene. He appears regularly at Toronto's top underground Techno events, and organizes members-only loft and warehouse parties, Box of Kittens, which are consistently lauded by the city’s entertainment weeklies.
