I am a first year teacher. I originally got my degree in Psychology. I had plans to go back and get my Doctoral degree and be a counselor, but I just couldn't get up the "gump" to go back to school. I was working at a Behavioral hospital for children and I realized that I wanted to make a difference by working with children before they ended up in a facility. I began classes in the summer of 2010 with the MAT program at UCA.

It wasn't easy. I worked full-time and went to school full-time at night, but it was the best decision I ever made. My only wish is that I had done it sooner.

I am certified in English and Social Studies and I am looking forward to many more years of teaching.
