Hamdan Stables
Hamdan Stables is owned by Fatma Hamza and it was founded by her father Ahmed Pasha Hamza, whose passion for the Arabian horses started at a very young age in 1897, when he received his first Arabian with a silver saddle as a gift from his uncle.
The Hamdan Stables previously known as Ahmed Hamza's Stables was re-named after the famous and outstanding stallion, Hamdan. Subsequent to King Farou...k's abdication and exile Hamza Pacha bought Hamdan from the Royal Inshass Stud's liquidation auction. Bearing in mind, that Hamdan who was at the time in a pitiable state was the same stallion whom in 1940 King Farouk offered to buy for a very large sum of money and hence he was offered to him as a present from the Royal Agricultural Society (now the Egyptian Agricultural Organization).
Though, Hamdan could not even stand from hunger and maltreatment due to the negligence of the post-coupé d'état people, Hamza Pasha persisted on buying him, in order to provide him with the caring home he deserved. Dedicated love and devotion at Hamza Pacha's farm harvested Hamdan's miraculous recovery and lovely progeny.
Bearing in mind, that due to the Egyptian coupe d'état of 1952, the Arabians of Hamza Pacha were auctioned publicly like most of the horses owned by breeders at this time in Egypt's history.
"He who loves doesn't get tired" is an Arabic saying which Hamza Pacha proved to be true by buying back most of his horses from the those who bought them from the Revolution's Sale. Though, he passed away in 1977, his genuine love for the Arabian horse lives within his family's hearts and souls who provide the horses with immense love because they learnt from his story that 'love works miracles'.
